Our company is looking for a LPN – PRN to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for each assigned resident;
  • Provide nursing services;
  • Reports any problems or emergencies to proper department;
  • Confers with nursing supervisor concerning the care and treatment of individual patients;
  • Acts as team leader when requested;
  • Performs nursing duties such as ordering medications, taking and recording of blood sugars, hemocults, catherizations, oxygen, blood pressures, etc;
  • Assists with food trays, linens, feedings, and other patient care needs as necessary;
  • Pours and dispenses medications as directed by physicians;
  • Coordinates admission, discharge and transfer of residents;
  • Assists in training and supervision of nurses’ aides and CNA’s;
  • Charts treatments and medications according to prescribed policies;
  • Maintains and supervises the maintenance of nursing and patient care records and related services as completed;
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each key function satisfactorily;
  • Makes regular nursing rounds to an assigned group of patients, performing basic patient care functions;
  • Assists in transporting patients to/from bathroom, in/out of wheelchairs, or to other required areas of facility.

  • Work Experience-None required; however, previous nursing home experience and/or working with elderly population preferred;
  • Current Licensed L.P.N., preferably with experience in long-term care of geriatric nursing;
  • Current CPR certification and additional certification in nursing specialty desired;
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables;
  • 2-4 Years of experience required;
  • Current LPN license or RN license. (Graduate from approved school of practical nursing. ).
