Medical Assistant – OB/GYN Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Medical Assistant – OB/GYN to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Drawing blood;
- Light charting;
- Performing other routine clinical tasks to support medical staff;
- Being a patient ambassador – providing a smooth, pleasant experience for our patients;
- Preparing exam rooms between patient visits;
- Escorting patients to exam rooms.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Russian a plus;
- High school diploma or GED required;
- Ability to adapt both to situations of relative calm and (rare but important) fast-paced, high energy situations;
- Ability to work as part of a team, support clinical staff and maintain a positive mental attitude;
- PREFERRED: Bachelor’s/Associate’s degree;
- REQUIRED: At least 1 year prior experience as a Medical Assistant or other clinical staff (inpatient or outpatient setting);
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills;
- PREFERRED: Experience specific to OB/GYN outpatient care;
- Must have two (2) great manager or supervisor references;
- Must have GYN experience;
- Able to pass a background check and drug screen;
- Must have EMR experience;
- Must have proof of current TB placed within the past 12 months;
- Experience using an EMR system;
- Must have a diploma from an Accredited program.
