Our company is looking for a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in designating the level of care to be performed and the necessary equipment needed;
  • Documenting all provided services in the detainee/inmate medical record;
  • Providing medical treatment and services consistent with the provision of basic health care services in conjunction with a physician;
  • Providing input into performance evaluation;
  • Instructing patients in required health hygiene techniques;
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures;
  • Performing regular chart review for quality assurance purposes;
  • Performing routine medical examinations on detainees/inmates under established guidelines;
  • Reviewing regularly those cases requiring ongoing medical/pharmaceutical attention.

Requirements:

  • Must meet company’s company driving standards, automobile liability insurance standards and provide proof of coverage;
  • Bilingual in Spanish;
  • One year of previous experience in providing services to pediatric patients in a community or school setting strongly preferred;
  • Certification in school-based vision and hearing screening procedures by the Yavapai County Education Service Agency within 18 months of hire;
  • Current DEA license;
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred; Cerner strongly preferred;
  • Current Arizona nursing license and Arizona Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner certification;
  • Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Windows;
  • Current AHA PALS certified;
  • Graduate of an accredited school/college of nursing program;
  • Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing providing excellent customer service;
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Provider certified;
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing;
  • 2 years of work experience as a Licensed Nurse Practitioner, preferred.
