Part-Time Nurse Practitioner Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in designating the level of care to be performed and the necessary equipment needed;
- Documenting all provided services in the detainee/inmate medical record;
- Providing medical treatment and services consistent with the provision of basic health care services in conjunction with a physician;
- Providing input into performance evaluation;
- Instructing patients in required health hygiene techniques;
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures;
- Performing regular chart review for quality assurance purposes;
- Performing routine medical examinations on detainees/inmates under established guidelines;
- Reviewing regularly those cases requiring ongoing medical/pharmaceutical attention.
Requirements:
- Must meet company’s company driving standards, automobile liability insurance standards and provide proof of coverage;
- Bilingual in Spanish;
- One year of previous experience in providing services to pediatric patients in a community or school setting strongly preferred;
- Certification in school-based vision and hearing screening procedures by the Yavapai County Education Service Agency within 18 months of hire;
- Current DEA license;
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred; Cerner strongly preferred;
- Current Arizona nursing license and Arizona Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner certification;
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Windows;
- Current AHA PALS certified;
- Graduate of an accredited school/college of nursing program;
- Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing providing excellent customer service;
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Provider certified;
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing;
- 2 years of work experience as a Licensed Nurse Practitioner, preferred.
