Operating Room Nurse (RN) Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Operating Room Nurse (RN) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist anesthesia provider as needed;
- Responsibility for maintaining sterility in the operating room;
- Gather supplies needed for surgery;
- Assess patients prior to surgery;
- Position and prepare patient on operating table;
- Adhere to safety standards and precautions;
- Monitor patients’ vital signs;
- Pass medical instruments and other objects to the operating physician.
Requirements:
- Must demonstrate clinical excellence in one specialty. Proficiency in scrub role and prior experience in ambulatory surgery is preferred;
- Current Registered Nurse license; ACLS & BLS certification;
- Ability to quickly adjust to changes in patient focused events;
- Candidate must demonstrate aptitude for proper operation of OR equipment/technology in multiple specialties;
- Individual should be organized, with exceptional skill in planning and preparation for expected events;
- Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions;
- Trauma, Ortho, Nuero background;
- 2 years minimum of Main OR experience;
- NJ RN license.
