Automotive Technician Mechanic Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Automotive Technician Mechanic to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Master MFG level diagnostic tools (MFG scantools and subscriptions provided by CBA);
- Raises vehicle, with hydraulic jack or hoist, to mount and dismount passenger and light truck tires;
- Walk/stand for the majority of the workday;
- Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand-tools;
- Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head;
- Maintain the work area in a safe and clean condition;
- Performs other duties as required;
- Maintain high efficiency numbers while meeting productivity and quality standards;
- Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting;
- Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed;
- Shift: M-F 6am-2pm;
- Perform basic auto care and maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid level checks, and tire rotation;
- Plan repair procedures using charts manuals and experience;
- Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and/or Mopar standards;
- Perform routine maintenance and general mechanic work on vehicles.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license;
- Great attitude to perform quality repairs;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.);
- 4+ current and valid ASE certifications required;
- Must have valid Drivers License- Class C;
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service;
- Ability to use the diagnostic equipment;
- Must have own standard tools to perform the job;
- Understanding of automotive air-conditioning systems;
- Strong attention to detail is required to meet productivity and quality standards;
- Perform routine maintenance and other tasks in a fast-paced environment;
- Experience as a lube technician, or prepared to do on-the-job training;
- ASE Certifications;
- May lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbs;
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
