Our company is looking for a Diesel Truck Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist managers and clerical staff in completing necessary paperwork;
  • Become qualified, certified state inspector, as required;
  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Keep up to date on all warranty policies and product changes;
  • Completes paperwork as required to accurately document the work performed on vehicles;
  • Performs trouble shooting on major problems;
  • Maintains a neat and orderly working area, and proper handling of company tools;
  • Advises the Leadman/Shop Foreman if additional repair work is needed;
  • Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts;
  • Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended;
  • Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair;
  • Other tasks as assigned;
  • Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events;
  • Keep shop area neat and clean;
  • Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.

Requirements:

  • Requires 1 to 3 years directly related experience;
  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus special technical training are desired;
  • Mechanical knowledge of diesel and gasoline powered vehicles;
  • Lifting Requirements;
  • Ability to work in seasonal heat and cold; amidst noise, dust, and fumes;
  • Ability to use pneumatic tools;
  • Lifting 50 lbs waist to shoulder;
  • Lifting 50 lbs floor to shoulder;
  • Carrying 50 lbs on a regular basis;
  • Hearing;
  • Ability to work alone and under stress;
  • Lifting 50 lbs floor to waist;
  • Near & midrange vision;
  • Walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting and reaching;
  • Using hands, wrists, elbows and shoulder for repetitive motion tasks.
