Field Service Mechanic Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Field Service Mechanic to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customers basic training, as needed;
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain heavy duty and other construction machinery including electric and fuel system engines;
- Other duties as assigned by management;
- Travel to customer work sites to complete repairs on various types of rental equipment;
- Respond to service calls at customers worksites.
Requirements:
- Must be able to provide Motor Vehicle Record at time of job offer (current within 15 days);
- Must possess own tools;
- Must be able to work on several types and brands of equipment;
- Previous equipment repair experience required;
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English;
- Must be able to read and understand electrical & hydraulic schematics;
- Must be able to pass drug test and background check;
- Truck and diesel engine experience is a plus;
- Basic computer skills preferred;
- A customer friendly disposition and a safety first attitude;
- Ability to pass a drug screen;
- Must possess a team orientated spirit;
- Truck and diesel engine experience would be considered an asset;
- Must have a good driving record;
- Knowledge and operation of construction equipment would be beneficial.
