Service Technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Service Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Make every effort to achieve the production objectives set by management;
- Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair;
- Building repairs and maintenance;
- Perform repair work as designated in a timely & proper manner;
- An Innate curiosity of hardware maintenance technology and a willingness and desire to be trained in ATM hardware/software systems;
- Repairs automobiles and light trucks that run on gasoline, electricity, or alternative fuels, such as ethanol;
- In some locations, the Service Technician will be responsible for machine movement and various other duties as assigned;
- Attend company-sponsored training classes. Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins;
- Perform preventative maintenance and functional testing on various types of automation and welding equipment;
- 401K Retirement Savings Plan;
- Obtain necessary materials needed to complete the truck assembly;
- Follows all shop policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules;
- Removing bulk trash (including appliances);
- Performing preventive maintenance on vehicles including fluid exchanges;
- Check tire pressure and add air if needed.
Requirements:
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment;
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- In some locations, the Service Technician will be responsible for machine movement and various other duties as assigned;
- Seeking RV Technician experience or experience in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance installation and repair;
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed;
- Safety and customer service oriented;
- Strong automotive background is preferred;
- ASE Certifications;
- B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair preferred;
- Manufacturer or ASE certifications, a plus;
- Fast learner;
- A.S.E. Certification in Engine Performance, Engine Repair and Brakes (preferred);
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Ability to remain flexible toward change.
