HVAC Technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a HVAC Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect current HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety;
- Must look for inefficiencies in systems to find the source of any current or possible malfunctions;
- Must be proactive in ensuring that preventative maintenance of all equipment is done promptly to help prevent future problems with equipment;
- ARNET;
- Maintenance, repairs and/or replacements;
- Install full HVAC systems in compliance with local regulations;
- Provides routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, and deep cleaning to the customer;
- Work professionally, independently and manage time in accordance with scheduled work;
- Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers;
- Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems;
- Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air condition systems and equipment;
- Dependable and reliable;
- Perform in-depth problem solving;
- W orking evenings, weekends, holidays and unscheduled shifts as determined by the needs of the business;
- Operational knowledge of all mechanical systems including, but not limited to.
Requirements:
- Detailed;
- Previous experience in HVAC or other related fields;
- Must be able to lift over 75 lbs;
- Must hold state driver’s license;
- EPA 608 Certification;
- Ability to braze / solder;
- A minimum of 2 years experience as a Service Technician is REQUIRED;
- Must posses an active TS/SCI with polygraph;
- Have a good working mechanical aptitude;
- Able to work after hour calls and weekends;
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems;
- Keeping daily logs and invoices of all maintenance functions;
- Associates Degree in related field, or appropriate background with related work experience preferred;
- Universal EPA License Required;
- Valid driver’s license.
