Our company is looking for a Litigation Associate to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Depositions, hearings, mediation, trial preparation and trial attendance;
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities asneeded;
  • Directly interfacing with the client;
  • Think on your feet and quickly shift task to taskdepending on daily needs;
  • Write, review, and edit reports, opinions,correspondence, articles, and other documents for compliance purposes;
  • Client relations and communications,
  • Reviewing legal issues and preparing memoranda analyzing legal and factual issues;
  • Make court appearances across Birmingham andprovide same day client updates;
  • Case law research;
  • Initial intake and analysis on files as soon asreceived and generate strategy and budget within a 24 hour time frame;
  • Must have strong writing skills and be able todraft civil litigation documents ranging from discovery to dispositive motionsand client correspondence;
  • Preparation and drafting of pleadings, discovery, motions and memoranda of law;
  • Attending court appearances;
  • Drafting of pleadings, discovery demands/responses and motion papers;
  • Review chain of title, pleadings, foreclosuredocuments, and respond to lender and agent requests within a 24 hour time frame.

  • Must possess strong written and verbalcommunication skills;
  • At least one year of litigation experience at a law firm;
  • Bar Admission Required, GA Bar preferred;
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gatherand analyze information skillfully;
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills;
  • Ties to Jacksonville area is ideal;
  • Motivated self starter, ability to multi-task,detail-oriented, flexible and personable;
  • Detailed analytic experience and organizational skillsrequired;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products;
  • Positive attitude and willingness to adapt tochange;
  • J.D. from a ranked law school;
