Our company is looking for a Litigation Associate to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Depositions, hearings, mediation, trial preparation and trial attendance;
- Perform other duties and responsibilities asneeded;
- Directly interfacing with the client;
- Think on your feet and quickly shift task to taskdepending on daily needs;
- Write, review, and edit reports, opinions,correspondence, articles, and other documents for compliance purposes;
- Client relations and communications,
- Reviewing legal issues and preparing memoranda analyzing legal and factual issues;
- Make court appearances across Birmingham andprovide same day client updates;
- Case law research;
- Initial intake and analysis on files as soon asreceived and generate strategy and budget within a 24 hour time frame;
- Must have strong writing skills and be able todraft civil litigation documents ranging from discovery to dispositive motionsand client correspondence;
- Preparation and drafting of pleadings, discovery, motions and memoranda of law;
- Attending court appearances;
- Drafting of pleadings, discovery demands/responses and motion papers;
- Review chain of title, pleadings, foreclosuredocuments, and respond to lender and agent requests within a 24 hour time frame.

- Must possess strong written and verbalcommunication skills;
- At least one year of litigation experience at a law firm;
- Bar Admission Required, GA Bar preferred;
- Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gatherand analyze information skillfully;
- Must possess excellent organizational skills;
- Ties to Jacksonville area is ideal;
- Motivated self starter, ability to multi-task,detail-oriented, flexible and personable;
- Detailed analytic experience and organizational skillsrequired;
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products;
- Positive attitude and willingness to adapt tochange;
- J.D. from a ranked law school;
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; look forways to improve and promote quality;
