Senior Legal Counsel Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Advise on personnel issues and draft documents related to those issues;
- Labor law issues;
- Handling and project managing legal negotiations;
- Prepare and maintain standard agreements (NDA, labor matters, consulting, administrative agreements etc.);
- Dealing with external parties, including external law firms;
- Provide risk management and litigation management;
- Oversee governance matters and corporate record keeping;
- Advise on copyright, trademark and other intellectual property issues related to programs, products and services;
- Work closely with the Company’s GC on ongoing issues;
- Reviewing contacts with clients, partners, and vendors (including, but not limited to, software licensing and service provider agreements);
- Manage longtime relationships with outside counsel, engage outside counsel in a strategic manner, and manage all legal work product;
- Lead legal strategy and infrastructure to support strategic growth;
- Support intellectual property registration and enforcement efforts, often in collaboration with outside counsel;
- Research and help implement policies and practices relating to, e.g., user privacy, data handling, international growth, etc;
- Manage and continue to develop Flipboardās patent and trademark portfolios.
Requirements:
- Must have “Project Manager” attitude and capabilities;
- MA or BS in Business Administration will be considered an asset;
- Being a team member for at least 1-2 years (not including internship) of a legal department of a SaaS company is an advantage;
- Experience in commercial negotiations with international tech companies;
- Team player;
- Must be efficient and have the ability to multi-task with an assertive, independent, and can-do attitude;
- Law degree;
- Being introduced by and AppsFlyer team member is a significant advantage;
- Enjoys working collaboratively and cross-functionally on teams, as well as independently;
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively with little supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
- Proactively solves problems and makes decisions;
- Expertise in drafting and negotiating a broad spectrum of commercial agreements by and between digital media companies;
- 7+ years of legal experience, ideally with a combination of law firm training and at least one in-house role at a digital media/technology company;
- Sharp, strategic thinker with the ability to adapt to a variety of internal and external scenarios and contexts;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
