Administrative Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Administrative Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Project manage and assist in the completion of key deliverables across multiple units within the VDFA’s business units;
- Oversee/manage special projects/initiatives that requires cross-functional coordination and cuts across multiple departments with VDFA;
- Prepare agendas and briefing materials in advance of the VDFA’s meetings and activities and ensure appropriate follow up actions are taken;
- Maintains and contributes content to the institute’s website;
- Schedule and organize various meetings and other group events (Monthly Work Group meeting, Quarterly ISG meetings);
- Assign workloads, manage overtime, and coordinate back up support for our partners and management team members;
- Generate progress reports and other duties as assigned;
- Develops and manages data and reports regarding hires for the Institute;
- Manage and coordinate the administrative operations of the VDFA to advance all strategic priorities and initiatives;
- Other duties as assigned;

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience;
- Prior experience working in higher education administration or public health;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- The ability to work well under pressure with short deadlines and changing priorities is needed;
- Master’s or other advanced degree and Project Management Certification (PMP, PgMP, PMI-PBA);
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and 2- 4 years of related experience;
- Type preferred qualifications;
- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills; utilize inquiry skills for situational assessment, problem solving, and relationship building;
- Five to eight years of related professional experience;
- Must be able to use discretion, maintain confidentiality, exercise sound, and independent judgment and perform detailed work with precision;
- Broad computer skills required, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and project management software;
- Excellent verbal and written communication ability as well as demonstrated interpersonal and negotiation skills;
- Bachelor’s degree in education and experience plus four or more years of related experience;
- High emotional intelligence and superb interpersonal and organizational skills;
- Minimum of five years of management/supervisory experience with a strong focus on customer service.
