Our company is looking for a Assistant Property Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and supervise a lease renewal program following LIHTC/Bond guidelines;
  • Assist the Community Manager in the operation of the development; ability to provide strong leadership when Community Manager is unavailable;
  • Answer all incoming phone calls and handle accordingly;
  • Petty cash logs;
  • Creating and sending out housing packet documents (contract, notice of assignment, payment information);
  • Ensure the accurate and efficient completion of lease and application paperwork;
  • File evictions in a timely manner;
  • Work closely with other staff members who work in the property’s office or who may also work in the maintenance area;
  • Develop marketing strategies to increase traffic;
  • Develop resident retention plans;
  • Market vacancies;
  • Assists in, and conducts, initial and annual re-certification;
  • Process tenant applications (Credit, landlord, income and criminal background check);
  • Maintain a positive, productive relationship with tenants;
  • Update job and market knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Ability to multitask and be a team player in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • A minimum of 1-year general office experience required; 1-year sales experience preferred, occasionally required;
  • Have a strong work ethic with reliability and dependability;
  • Property Management Software Knowledge (Yardi, OneSite, BlueMoon, etc.);
  • Conflict management experience;
  • Ability to solve problems and work with minimal supervision;
  • Attention to detail is a must;
  • Self-motivated individuals who are excellent multi-taskers and HIGHLY reliable excel in this role;
  • Ideal candidate will have great attention to detail, strong customer service, and an out-going personality;
  • Proven ability to be prompt and on time every day;
  • Experience within real estate, accounting, AR/AP, and/or financial statements;
  • High school diploma/GED, Bachelor s degree preferred;
  • Assist with resident concerns and requests and consistently implement policies of the community;
  • Must be knowledgeable of all phases of leasing and resident retention.
