Our company is looking for a Associate Director, Analytics to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with and/or manage vendors, as needed;
  • Evaluate and select commercial data sources as model inputs;
  • Analytics;
  • Manage a small team of analysts and assist them with their work and professional development;
  • Build predictive models of membership behavior and attitudes;
  • Present research and analytical findings to senior leadership and across the organization;
  • Lead analytics projects and experiments (including surveys and other research);

  • Work with the Associate Director of Data Operations to define and implement data management processes that will serve the analytics goals;
  • Manage the development of automated cross-department reports and dashboards to open access to organizational data and optimize the organization’s work;
  • Define the technology and skills needed for the analytics vision;
  • Create dynamic analytics reports within the data warehouse and clearly document/comment on code;

  • Make recommendations on research methodologies, implement those approaches and provide strategic guidance to organizational senior leadership.

Requirements:

  • Performed basic cleaning and data transformation on large datasets;
  • Experience scoping and developing reporting for multiple audiences;
  • We especially encourage applications from people who have;
  • Used version control and hosting platforms (we use git and GitHub);
  • Great communications skills, including the ability to discuss technical topics with non-technical audiences;
  • Worked with voter file datasets (such as Catalist or TargetSmart) and the VAN;
  • Experience running randomized controlled experiments;
  • Experience with applied statistics and creating models;
  • General knowledge of back-end data pipelines, integrations and databases;
  • Led analytics projects, especially digital analytical ones;
  • Worked with CRMs (such as EveryAction, ActionKit, Action Network, etc.);
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and databases: ability to write required analysis code from scratch;
  • Programmed in Python or R, in a statistics capacity;
