Our company is looking for a Development Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Occasional overtime may be required;
  • Occasional weekend work may be required;
  • Perform other related duties as required;
  • Serve as a member of the staff team, participating in the execution of operational plans and coordinating with other members;
  • Other duties as needed and appropriately assigned.

Requirements:

  • Confident communicator;
  • Must have outstanding interpersonal skills – an ability to interact well with faculty, staff, alumni, and other constituents;
  • 2+ years of experience in an administrative role;
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred;
  • Donor software or CMS experience is desired;
  • Must be well organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to work independently, as well as in a group setting;
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills, must know mail merge;
  • Excellent experience with Microsoft Word required – including mail merges; strong Excel spreadsheet and database skills necessary;
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite, Google Drive, and complex databases desired;
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral required;
  • Work supporting fundraising efforts in a university or other complex not-for-profit environment;
  • The ability to plan, prioritize and balance the work load of several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment is essential.
