Development Assistant Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Development Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Occasional overtime may be required;
- Occasional weekend work may be required;
- Perform other related duties as required;
- Serve as a member of the staff team, participating in the execution of operational plans and coordinating with other members;
- Other duties as needed and appropriately assigned.
Requirements:
- Confident communicator;
- Must have outstanding interpersonal skills – an ability to interact well with faculty, staff, alumni, and other constituents;
- 2+ years of experience in an administrative role;
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred;
- Donor software or CMS experience is desired;
- Must be well organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to work independently, as well as in a group setting;
- Solid Microsoft Office skills, must know mail merge;
- Excellent experience with Microsoft Word required – including mail merges; strong Excel spreadsheet and database skills necessary;
- Familiarity with Microsoft Suite, Google Drive, and complex databases desired;
- Strong communication skills both written and oral required;
- Work supporting fundraising efforts in a university or other complex not-for-profit environment;
- The ability to plan, prioritize and balance the work load of several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment is essential.
