Entry Level Mechanical Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with architects, owners and other engineering disciplines;
- Performs Revit design for the mechanical discipline using knowledge of relevant software programs;
- Performs field work as directed by a senior engineer/ designer;
- Work as part of an MEP design team to provide mechanical (HVAC) engineering and design support on a variety of building projects;
- Perform load calculations and energy modeling;
- Collaborate in the production of construction documents (drawings and specifications);
- Conducts basic interpretations of drawings, codes, and other similar materials;
- Performs other duties as assigned by the senior engineering staff;
- Assists with engineering duties on projects of various complexity;
- Assists with collecting data and gathering information to support design decisions.
Requirements:
- Related engineering internship or co-op work experience;
- Energy conversion;
- Turbomachinery;
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, and designation as an Engineer in Training;
- Coursework in the following: Power engineering;
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong interest in numerical computations and problem solving;
- Engineer In Training (EIT) a plus;
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Thermal systems;
- Revit MEP/AutoCAD experience a plus;
- Experience in writing and providing support documentation for Mechanical Engineering calculations;
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
