Our company is looking for a Grocery Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maximize productivity and efficiency through proper scheduling;
  • Develops and maintains creative store layout and product merchandising;
  • Maintains proper product assortment, merchandising, and inventory control;
  • Lead and develop department clerks. Set and achieve the highest standards of retail execution;
  • Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate and counsel staff in a manner that builds and sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover;
  • Following through on all customer questions, requests, and resolve concerns as needed;
  • Achieving sales, margin, expense, and labor targets;
  • Follow and comply with established procedures, including weights and measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices;
  • Builds a positive work environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect and exceptional morale;
  • Ensure that staff operates and sanitizes all equipment in a safe and proper manner;
  • Model and deliver outstanding customer service;
  • Demonstrate advanced product knowledge; maintain awareness of new products and regularly incorporate new products into the overall product mix.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of basic math;
  • High school education or equivalent;
  • Effective communication skills;
  • Ability to handle stressful situations.
