Our company is looking for a Kitchen Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing cooks and overall food presentation & quality;
  • Inventory;
  • Works directly with Event Coordinator in preparation for planned events;
  • Communication and leadership skills;
  • Confirm compliance with all sanitation and health and safety standards;
  • Coaching/disciplining kitchen staff to insure adherence to policy and systems;
  • Maintain kitchen inventory and assist with ordering supplies;
  • Communicate effectively with other Operation Managers and Owner;
  • Control Costs – assist with P&L, budget, inventory catering and ordering, cut waste;
  • Continuously strive to develop staff in all areas of managerial and professional development;
  • Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner;
  • Make employment and termination decisions including interviewing, hiring, evaluating and disciplining kitchen personnel as appropriate;
  • Reports directly to Culinary Director + business owner;
  • Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area;
  • does inventory, ordering + food costing.

Requirements:

  • Conflict management abilities;
  • Ensures superior quality and execution of Cooper’s Hawk recipe standards;
  • Minimum of high school diploma. Candidates with culinary degrees is a plus;
  • Works directly with Event Coordinator in preparation for planned events;
  • Hands-on experience with ordering ingredients;
  • Prepares daily production list;
  • Culinary degree preferred;
  • Six months experience in kitchen operations and execution;
  • Knowledge of cutting-edge culinary trends/local dining scene;
  • 2+ years of Kitchen Manager or Lead Line Cook experience in a high-volume commercial kitchen;
  • Inventory;
  • Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing;
  • Demonstrate a leadership style that creates a positive working environment and remains calm during stressful and emotional situations;
  • Spanish speaking a plus;
  • 2 years of Restaurant Management experience.
