Our company is looking for a Maintenance and Engineering Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that computer hardware, software, and systems integration meet the strategic needs of the plant and are cost effective;
  • Ensure maintenance procedures comply with plant safety regulations;
  • Maintain inventories of maintenance material, supplies and repair parts at required levels by initiating requisitions;
  • Interact with Operations partners to understand requirements and communicate plans and status;
  • Execute planned maintenance, preventive maintenance, spare part supply, and contractor services;
  • Work Environment and Occupational Demands;
  • Develop and execute the Maintenance Strategy, including determination of maintenance approach, staffing levels, training program, metrics, and others;
  • Floor-level presence in working with technicians and operators to get them more involved with the reliability and integrity of their machinery;
  • Directly supervise Technical Reliability Team; Provide strong leadership to foster continuous improvement and open communication.

Requirements:

  • CAD drafting skills;
  • 5 to 10 years of maintenance management experience in a food manufacturing environment;
  • PC literate, analytical;
  • Proficient understanding of PLC programming and troubleshooting (Rockwell/Allen Bradley, Siemens, DeltaV, Factory Talk, Wonderware, etc…);
  • A Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in a technical field (a combination of relative experience & education will be considered);
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally;
  • Read and understand P&ID’s, loop diagrams, process flow diagrams, cause and effect matrices;
  • Ability to speak Spanish a plus;
  • Advanced electrical control wiring knowledge;
  • Requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline to perform essential job functions;
  • Strong computer skills;
  • Must have strong analytical skills with the ability to develop and implement layout, plans, and implementation for various projects;
  • Preference for candidates with expertise in mechanical engineering systems within a manufacturing/production and facilities environment;
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, highly organized and ability to prioritize.
