Our company is looking for a Nurse Manager (RN) to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • At least 21 years of age;
  • Prior experience working seniors and/or adults with special needs required;
  • At least two-years full-time equivalent experience in a direct care position in acute care or long term care setting;
  • Able to work a flexible schedule;
  • Able to multi-task and manage time effectively;
  • RN License, CPR Certification;
  • Participates in the Center’s quality assurance/performance improvement plans;
  • Arrange staffing when needed to provide adequate coverage according to daily requirements;
  • Assesses residents medical conditions and implements changes and notifies physician;
  • Accurately interpret and assure compliance with established policies, procedures and philosophy of care;
  • Communicate in a positive, caring, and helpful manner with residents, family members, and other staff;
  • Performs duties of Registered Nurse as needed;
  • Collaborates with other department leadership in planning, implementing and evaluating program and activity schedules;
  • Supervises Charge RNs, Staff RNs, Unit Coordinators and MHTs;
  • Creates a therapeutic environment by championing trauma-informed, strength-based care.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position;
  • Must be able to reach, bend, and/or stoop intermittently throughout the work day;
  • Must be able to push, pull, or move a minimum of 100 pounds utilizing proper body mechanics and assistance;
  • Must be able to move about intermittently throughout the workday;
  • Must be able to walk/stand 75% of the day;
  • High School Diploma;
  • Licensed Registered Nurse, approved by PA state Board of Nurse Examiners;
  • 2 years of experience working as a Registered Nurse including at least one year in a supervisory and/or management role;
