Our company is looking for a Principal Network Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing software and hardware upgrade and network design optimization and implementation based on established guidelines;
  • Adopting agile methodologies and showing an aptitude for being able to adapt;
  • Ensuring operational performance of production network routers and switches;
  • Scheduling to provide support for complex issues and escalations from internal and external groups;
  • Building virtualization of application and/or control-plane to Open Stack environment;
  • Finishing projects independently and meeting tight timelines without impacting critical IP services;
  • Working with Planning, Engineering and lab to support existing and new functionalities as business requirements evolve;
  • Developing scripts and/or programs to use automation and eliminate manual tasks;
  • Leads the evaluation and recommendation of new technical solution offerings to evolve the network infrastructure;
  • Writes conceptual design implementation patterns;

Requirements:

  • Experience with Cisco Any Connect required;
  • Cisco ASA firewall experience with Contexts, filters, SSL VPN;
  • A current DoD security clearance;
  • PBX/Phone System administration using TDM & SIP experience required;
  • Knowledge of ISP/ASP model and related SLAs;
  • Familiarity and ability to understand configurations of;
  • Conduct internal and external presentations;
  • Experience with Data Center LAN design, Implementation, diagnostics, performance and management;
  • Develop and evaluate network performance criteria and measurement methods;
  • Create and execute acceptance test plans with emphasis on NGCS Operation;
  • 8+ years of relevant experience directly related to network architectural design;
  • Experience with LAN and WAN design, implementation, diagnostics, performance and management;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Visio to diagram network configurations;
  • Familiar with TCP, and secure protocols;
  • Knowledge/experience with SAN and WAN implementations.
