Our company is looking for a Project Manager/Superintendent to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Keeps all buyer and trade partner data confidential and secure, mindful of disclosing sensitive data at all times;
  • Maintains an organized job site, including the construction office;
  • Orders materials and schedules inspections as necessary throughout the process;
  • Will create and implement workflow process and decision making of any recurring activity in order to create easier decision making;
  • Assists co-workers in the completion of tasks and assignments to ensure continuity of service. Actively supports teamwork throughout the organization;
  • Exceeds client expectations for each project by understanding client needs, wants, preferences and culture;
  • Oversees all daily field operations to ensure proper site safety, construction, progress, quality control and a clean site;
  • Maintain and review punch list processes to ensure all are addressed and executed in a timely manner;
  • Hire contractors and staff including construction laborers;
  • Ensure deadlines are met;
  • Allocate and manage resources to ensure that they are available when they are needed throughout the construction projects;
  • Evaluate risks;
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects and key team members of the project team;
  • Oversee construction projects from beginning to end;
  • Resolve any problems that may arise.

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of construction materials and equipment;
  • Previous work experience in construction management or another similar role;
  • Able to multitask with a strong understanding of core manager duties;
  • Previous experience in a leadership role with strong and proven leadership skills;
  • Conflict resolution and conflict management experience;
  • Extensive previous work experience managing budgets for construction projects;
  • Understanding of construction management processes;
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant rules and regulations as well as quality standards and human resources;
  • Familiar with construction and project management software programs;
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite;
  • Able to plan ahead and read plans;
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities, including negotiation skills;
  • Excellent time management ability;
  • BSc/BA degree in Architecture, Building Science, Construction Management (Preferred).
