Our company is looking for a Construction Superintendent to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Orders materials and schedules inspections as necessary throughout the process;
  • Coordinate all subcontractor activities;
  • Maintain job safety requirements/records;
  • Keep the schedule properly updated and see that the job meets or beats the various required milestone dates;
  • Arrange for loading dock access and coordinate deliveries. It is expected that an accurate material take-off be performed prior to ordering;
  • Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion;
  • Hold weekly project meetings and safety meetings. And attend weekly meetings with internal and external clients;
  • Create/maintain project budget;
  • Order materials and schedule necessary inspections;
  • Helps the Project Manager and team with project close out activities;
  • Meets all project goals, which includes conforming to plans and specifications and monitoring and maintaining project budget;
  • Tracking plan/project changes;
  • A willingness and desire to be a site leader and resource for the project team;
  • Requests and orders materials required throughout project to maintain schedule and productivity;
  • A standard of safe work.

Requirements:

  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills;
  • Computer literate with emphasis on Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Outlook and MS operating systems;
  • Knowledge of Structures, tilt-wall and Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings;
  • Strong ability to read drawings and specifications;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience;
  • Must be able to travel to the jobsite(s) as assigned;
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects concurrently, meeting deadlines;
  • MUST be familiar will all aspects and types of build for commercial building projects;
  • Must be able to track self-performed work and stay within budgets;
  • Computer skills (min) – excel, word, MS project, outlook, etc;
  • Minimum of 3 years in commercial construction;
  • Construction Scheduling Software;
  • A standard of safe work;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage diverse personalities.
