Our company is looking for a Public Relations Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop marketing communications plans including strategy, goals and tactics;
  • Develop, monitor, and manage relationships with external stakeholders including influencers, government officials, community leaders, etc;
  • Lead the development and execution of the Public Relations Strategy;
  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration with the larger marketing, product and partners teams to build and execute integrated campaigns;
  • Assist with award submission process;
  • Implement systems or processes to ensure timely identification of newsworthy issues, events, and people;
  • Five to eight years of PR/Marketing experience;
  • Support strategy and execution for editorial communications;
  • Writing media messages, talking points, Q&A, press releases, social posts and internal memos;
  • Coordinate news conferences and media events, when appropriate;
  • Develop and execute media relations campaigns, securing high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media;
  • Manage Press Relations utilizing traditional and social media channels;
  • Manage PR operations;
  • Bachelor Degree required in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or related field;
  • Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both a national and global level;
  • Strong relationships and understanding of both local and national business and industry media outlets;
  • Solid experience with social media including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc;
  • Develop, monitor, and manage relationships with external stakeholders including influencers, government officials, community leaders, etc;
  • Crisis communications knowledge;
  • Previous experience with creatively seeking out and building relationships with PR/media contacts; existing PR/media contacts is a plus;
  • Experience writing for social media – short, succinct and pithy;
  • Implement systems or processes to ensure timely identification of newsworthy issues, events, and people;
  • Deep external communications experience and relationships among consumer / lifestyle, entertainment and business media;
  • Present reports on the effectiveness of campaigns;
  • 6+ years of agency and/or in-house experience;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Manage Press Relations utilizing traditional and social media channels;
  • Monitor, maintain and evaluate media coverage and placements through Public Relations management software;
  • Coordinate news conferences and media events, when appropriate.
