Sales Supervisor supervises and coordinates the daily activities of sales representatives engaged in promoting and selling a product by phone or mail. Recommends changes to current sales techniques or procedures based on team performance and new selling techniques. Being a Sales Supervisor may require a bachelor’s degree in business. Typically reports to a manager. The Sales Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. To be a Sales Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all product within the department is merchandised and recovered per the visual merchandise standards;
  • Accurately and efficiently operate the register;
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the overall store;
  • Assist with receiving the truck and pricing items;
  • Complete price changes within the department per company guidelines;
  • Assist with training new Associates;
  • Communicate customer needs to Team Leaders when necessary;
  • Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned;
  • Greet and acknowledge every customer as they enter and exit the store and as they approach the department and front end.
