Senior Brand Designer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Brand Designer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Define and design our visual approach for all forms of communication throughout the relationship with our customers;
- Help define our brand narrative, style, positioning, and value;
- Collaborate with content strategy to imagine and design an educational magazine;
- Collaborate with product marketing to define, design and deliver all forms of communication and awareness efforts for new product launches;
- Provide evocative and thoughtful art direction for product photo shoots, trade show booths, marketing videos, and more;
- Create and manage global asset libraries for systematic and scalable design;
- Help us create, maintain, and evolve our design language and design guidelines for the Meraki brand;
- Work with regional teams around the world to improve our visual design quality in local markets;
- Help source and manage vendors and/or freelancers, providing direction and feedback through effective creative briefs (senior only);
- Advocate for aesthetic excellence around Meraki, providing occasional guidance and consultation to teams outside of Marketing.
Requirements:
- Experience with user interface design;
- Ability to take initiative, take a brief from conceptualisation to production;
- Video recording and production highly desirable;
- Experience in B2B essential;
- Experience in technology startups highly desirable;
- Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite;
- Thoughtful and articulate about big and small design decisions;
- Animation, icon and illustration design experience, a big plus;
- 4+ years of working experience, collaborating with Designers, Product Marketing Managers, Engineers;
- Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects and to adjust to shifts in timelines, deadlines, budgets, and project goals;
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic/Visual Design or related field, or equivalent experience;
- A portfolio that showcases excellence in visual and web design & creative thinking, as well as a clean and polished style with an eye for detail;
- 5-8 years of experience designing at a tech company, marketing agency, or related experience;
- Experience designing for responsive web, mobile, and email (Sketch, or comparable) and familiarity with HTML/CSS;
- Strong communication skills, and the ability to work well both independently and in a cross-functional fast-paced team environment.
