Our company is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Participating in your team’s on-call rotation, triaging and addressing production issues as they arise;
  • Responsibilities;
  • Partner with Product Management to develop and maintain a concrete and well-specified roadmap for Americas-related features;
  • Manages feasibility studies of the design to determine if capable of functioning as intended;
  • Lead technical discovery and prototyping efforts for new features;
  • Drive performance analysis and optimization efforts;
  • Improve, optimize, troubleshoot, test and maintain our core product code base;
  • Coach your team to ensure their success;
  • Cultivate and mentor top talent;
  • Implement process improvements to streamline process;
  • Manage expectations about delivery of engineering projects;
  • Be responsible for end-to-end delivery of features, collaborate with SREs, Devs, PMs and customer support;
  • Ensure Architecture and Planning standards are adhered to.

Requirements:

  • roven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies;
  • Must be capable of planning, coordinating, and directing the activities of administrative, program, and technical personnel;
  • Must have a thorough understanding and experience in the complete life-cycle management of military systems;
  • Active Secret Security Clearance;
  • Entrepreneurial thinker; ability to innovate, think outside the box;
  • You are not a micromanager. You enable and empower a team to do great work beyond what you could accomplish on your own;
  • Demonstrated expertise across the full stack (services, web frontend, native clients);
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or similar field; graduate degree a plus;
  • Understanding of Kotlin and Swift a plus;
  • Have worked on large scale systems and know the pitfalls that can come with under or over engineering;
  • Contract and staff management experience ;
  • Proven ability to write code and move products to completion;
  • Experience working with public agencies in the greater Southern California region;
