Service Advisor Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Service Advisor to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Set schedules and assigns tasks to service department employees;
- Schedules appointments, answers phones and collects funds for services performed;
- Maintain Customer Satisfaction scores at or above company standards;
- Explain all service options to customers including time and cost estimates;
- Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures;
- Explains the work performed and the repair order charges to the customer;
- All repair orders should be clearly and concisely input by computer in accordance with dealership policies;
- Make sure all cars are road tested prior to return to customer;
- Maintain focus on CSI and the overall Customer Experience;
- Write repair orders;
- Maintain a safe and clean work area and assist to maintain safe and clean work areas as needed;
- Create work orders, including working directly with the customer during the diagnostic, quoting, repair, and invoicing (or claim creation) processes;
- Performs other related duties as assigned;
- Maintains documentation, including PO, invoices, work orders, reports, etc;
- Address customer automotive concerns, repairs, and maintenance requirements.
Requirements:
- Ability to work as a part of a team is required;
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form;
- Team player and able to work in a fast pace environment;
- Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality;
- Have access to and read 100% of technical bulletins;
- Ready to waste no time on learning new product in’s and out’s, eager to improve;
- ADP or Reynolds and Reynolds experience a plus;
- Planning;
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience writing service;
- Associate’s Degree or Equivalent;
- Technical Communication;
- Reliable;
- �bility to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously;
- Owned and operated by same leadership for past 28 years;
- Judgment/Decision Making Skills.
