Our company is looking for a Data Scientist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in project planning sessions to gather user requirements;
  • Leveraging communication skills to collaborate effectively with analysts across SVB;
  • Work with our customers to ensure that our data and analytics continue to provide strong return on investment;
  • Build common platforms and applications;
  • Work with internal customers to gather and document requirements;
  • Conducting statistical analysis of results to prove / disprove hypotheses, and;
  • Ensures that the work of the team contributes to the strategic goals of the department and of the organization;
  • Apply architectural and technology concepts to address scalability, security, reliability, maintainability and sharing of enterprise data;
  • Data-mining, Pattern matching & recognition;
  • Straddle differing subject areas such as in-game and business data sources;
  • Evaluate emerging datasets and technologies that may contribute to our existing analytical platforms;
  • Support the design and development of predictive analytics models through the implementation, validation and acceptance of the developed models;
  • Provide thought leadership in analytics and modeling;
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards as per client requests and meet client expectations;
  • Comply with change management policies and code reviews to ensure data integrity and system stability.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field;
  • Ability to create AI models and good understanding of machine learning workflow models such as kmeans, linear regression etc;
  • Ability to present ideas during meetings and prepare supporting documents to communicate complex and technical information;
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities;
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Proficient in R/SAS/Python, data visualization tool;
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a data architecture role with deep understanding of architecture principles & best practices;
  • Unix scripting (Ruby, Perl, Python, shell);
  • Demonstrated ability programming in Python, R, and/or Scala;
  • Statistical reasoning;
  • BS in ECE, EE, CS or related discipline or equivalent practical experience;
  • Experience developing data analytics and machine learning algorithms, and performing statistical analysis;
  • Straddle differing subject areas such as in-game and business data sources;
  • Strong understanding of basic statistics, linear algebra and calculus.
