Transportation Analyst Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Transportation Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and eliminate root causes of route inefficiencies, capacity constraints, and route cancelations;
- Develop and validate model components, including supporting model estimation and calibration;
- Execute simulated routes and interpret results to determine ideal, flexible route planning for a rapidly growing network;
- Lead tasks summarizing observed data and developing calibration statistics;
- Develop performance metrics to assist with driving business results;
- Lead tasks involving the development and validation of transportation networks;
- Develop summary routines and prepare forecasts of calibrated models;
- Prepare documentation of modeling tasks and prepare summary presentations;
- Proactively monitor volume forecasts and translate them into flexible labor and route planning to maximize capacity with minimal costs.
Requirements:

- Prior analytics and project leadership experience;

- Previous TMS, WMS, SAP experience;
- Prior L6S / Lean Operations experience.
