Our company is looking for a Video Editor to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Review of the current videos and create several short videos out of them;
  • Upload produced video and audio files on Dropbox;
  • Create audio versions of the videos;
  • Create promotional short and engaging videos using images, text, audio, and other videos;
  • Train team members on how to create engaging videos;
  • Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity;
  • Video editing: trailers, commercials, cinematics, b-roll, sizzle reels, etc;
  • Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process;
  • Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience;
  • Create rough and final cuts;
  • Post-Production: color grading, sound design and mixing, encoding, mastering, archiving, etc;
  • Grasp production team’s needs and specifications;
  • Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film;
  • Able to “remix” broadcast and online videos into creative short-form social videos;
  • Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running.

Requirements:

  • An understanding of color, typography, composition, music, conceptual thinking, and sophisticated design;
  • Ability to correct sound and color along with a knowledge of video compression workflow;
  • Can handle multiple tasks/assignments;
  • Ability to take and apply direction and constructive feedback;
  • Adobe Premiere and After Effects or Davinci Resolve with a portfolio to show it;
  • Familiarity with studio and field production, including camera operation, and lighting a plus;
  • Must be self-motivated and able to keep several initiatives moving forward simultaneously;
  • With an understanding of After effects templates as part of the edit tool;
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills;
  • Creating scratch track and sound mixing;
  • High awareness of online and offline resources for finding stock footage;
  • Strong knowledge of creative resources in the US in commercials and feature films a must;
  • Must work in Premiere;
  • Mid-level Video Editor with 3+ years understanding of animation and experience in creating short form promos and trailer editing;
  • Encyclopedic knowledge of film and television a plus.
