Our company is looking for a Medical Front Office to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all other duties as requested;
  • Travel to non -home location clinic or other site for training or coverage when necessary;
  • Answer and direct telephone calls;
  • Perform general clerical functions including a working knowledge of all front desk duties;
  • Adjust work schedule, in the even the need of the facility changes;
  • Obtain patient billing information in order to maintain current and accurate information in patient files;
  • Maintain a system of controls for cash receipts, and daily reconciliation processes to ensure proper handling of monies received;
  • Coordinate patient charts and appointments to ensure timely service;
  • Optimizes patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone;
  • Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries;
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed;
  • Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records;
  • Answer phones and make appointment reminder calls;
  • Insurance verification;
  • Electronic Scheduling.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in computer software use, including Work, Excel, and Outlook;
  • At least 2 years of previous doctor’s office experience;
  • Bilingual a plus, but not required;
  • Very energetic and self motivated;
  • Have an understanding of insurances and co-pays;
  • Have knowledge of insurance verification procedures and websites;
  • Have knowledge of insurance referrals and how to build them;
  • Experience with phones and scheduling;
  • Experience with check-in and check-out processes of a medical office;
  • Team player;
  • Knowledge of eClinicalWorks or similar EMR;
  • Customer service experience in healthcare environment preferred;
  • Minimum 2 years medical office experience, preferably in a surgical practice;
  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
  • Basic knowledge of insurance plans, including Medicare, commercial, auto accident coverage.
