Our company is looking for a Payroll Analyst to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and email appropriate audience of file issues;
  • Promptly responding to inquiries from employees/outside agencies;
  • Back-up to Payroll Manager;
  • Process Semi-Monthly payroll for US and Canadian employees;
  • Weekly reporting to third party benefit administrator;
  • Determine process improvement actions, work with system integrations, develop plans and implement those actions across end to end methodology;
  • Initiating 401K wires with vendor interface;
  • The Payroll Analyst is responsible for proactive collaboration with customer and key internal business partners;
  • Analyze General Ledger Accounts regularly;
  • Reconcile payroll results and payroll tax information for each payroll processed;
  • Other tasks as assigned;
  • Assist in year-end and state audit deliverables;
  • Support accounting interface, cash reconciliation, funding report, and reconcile clearing account;
  • Provide customer service to affiliated companies on payroll;
  • Generate reports (ad hoc & standard) as required.

Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate with various levels of management;
  • Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills;
  • CPP preferred but not required;
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material;
  • Understanding of payroll processing within a shared services environment;
  • Ability to manage priorities;
  • Proficient computer, organizational, analytical, research and problem solving skills;
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality with the utmost integrity is required;
  • Advanced Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel and Access. Hyperion experience is a plus;
  • Some college work with APA certification or equivalent;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-resolution skills;
  • Ability to efficiently perform several tasks concurrently and work independently in a deadline driven environment;
  • Understanding of federal and state regulations related to salaries, wages, taxes, benefits, and other payroll related matters;
  • Five years of progressive experience in payroll;
  • Superior attention to detail.
