Test Engineer Intern Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Test Engineer Intern to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Vehicles, forklifts, etc. operated which?: NA;
 - Develop test code to support product testing in a production environment;
 - Translate verbal and written test requirements into software modules;
 - Other: NA;
 - Implement quality assurance procedures to meet system performance standards and requirements;
 - Develop reusable functions to handle common functionality in test cases;
 - Document software features that are developed;
 - Work collaboratively with management, technicians, and on-site client to complete projects and exceed client expectations;
 - Understand the process of a testing program;
 - Conduct test engineering analysis of new and current products;
 - Revise work instructions and procedures;
 - Provide technical input into upgrade and refurbishment projects;
 - Learn new technologies, tools, and processes including automated test equipment and software.
 
Requirements:
- Knowledge of software testing tools is a plus;
 - Self-starter who likes to work a variety of technical issues;
 - Non-technical skills including, but not limited to: verbal and written communication, teamwork, and leadership;
 - Experience in software development and object-oriented programming;
 - Minimum of two computer programming classes completed;
 - Knowledge of Agile/Scrum principles is a plus;
 - Climbing: Up to 25%
 - Special clothing/equipment (wearing): Safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed shoes;
 - Lifting: Up to 50 lbs, 25%
 - Familiar with, or a willingness to learn, electrical test equipment such as power supplies, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc;
 - Analytical and problem solving skills in the disciplines of: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields;
 - Other: NA;
 - Unusual physical requirements: Sitting (75%), Standing (50%), Bending (25%), stooping (25%);
 - Strong interest in developing computer programming as a competency;
 - Computer science, computer engineering or electrical engineering student (actively enrolled).
