Assembly Technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Assembly Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and written instructions to complete assemblies and subassemblies;
- Work with small mechanical and electronical parts and devices;
- Visually inspect product and report feedback or damages to supervisor;
- Able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds and stand for an eight-hour work shift;
- Work with measurements;
- Read blueprints;
- Various tasks in the assembly of buses;
- Clean, assemble, disassemble, and replace parts as required;
- Perform assembly functions alongside the RES assembly team;
- Perform 2nd level assembly operations;
- Perform a variety of assembly operations;
- Perform equipment assembly according to engineering drawings;
- Use close tolerance measuring tools i.e. scales, micrometers, calipers, depth gages and like tools;
- Understand the assembly-specific technical demands of the station being worked;
- Use and maintain customer supplied tooling in proper working order.
Requirements:
- Previous manufacturing and assembly experience (preferably electronical);
- Highschool diploma or equivalent;
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test;
- Upholds the quality policies of the company;
- Ensure all documents are maintained according to standard operating procedures;
- Reach out to responsible design engineers for troubleshooting, clarification, and feedback;
- A good general technical and mechanical mindset;
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams;
- Soldering experience is required;
- An eye for detail and a steady hand for precision assembly work;
- Strong initiative, teamwork, and time management skills;
- Must be able to follow work instructions and read drawings and schematics to build product;
- Must work well with a team as well as independently;
- Familiarity with mechanical measurement devices and ability to perform a QC sampling plan on detail parts;
- Must be ok with standing for long periods of time.
