Mechanical Assembly Technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Verify accuracy and quality in accordance with established control procedures;
- Receive detailed written and verbal instructions on all work;
- Perform other tasks as needed, to complete project;
- Operate a truck, crane, and forklift;
- Assemble, repair, and install mechanical component parts, sub-assemblies, or completed units;
- Work is performed in-house and at the customer’s site;
- Entails sawing, tapping, drilling, and other mechanical tasks using hand tools, small power tools and other special equipment to complete tasks.
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a team environment;
- May require a passport;
- Occasional travel for machine repairs around the US;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Degree completed in relevant study or equivalent of 3-5 years or more experience in assembling and testing of mechanical and electrical components;
- Competency in reading schematics;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Ability to follow directions well and willing to learn;
- Dependable and on time;
- Ability to use hand tools (screwdriver, drill, tape measure);
- Motivated and determined to work hard and get the job done successfully;
- No experience required – entry level;
- Ability to pay attention to detail.
