Cable Assembler Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Cable Assembler to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Be able to follow schematics for proper installation of components and proper soldering procedure to ensure quality of the finished product;
- Work with small parts, using soldering irons and small hand tools;
- Polish fiber optic components with various tools and papers;
- Read and verify drawings/blueprints, production documentation and maintain high quality workmanship;
- Willing to perform other tasks as may be required by management;
- Be detail orientated, self-sufficient, and able to meet production quota in a timely manner;
- Cut, strip, clean and inspect fiber optic cables.
Requirements:
- Good understanding of quality control principles;
- Must be able to sit for long periods throughout the shift;
- Must follow all safety rules, including maintaining a clean and orderly work area;
- Must be able to properly use a soldering iron (A solder test will be required prior to employment.);
- Ability in using tools (e.g. clamps) and machines (e.g. presses);
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition;
- Drug Test;
- Must be at least 18 years old;
- Background check;
- 1-2 years of complex cabling, wiring assembly;
- Stand for Shift Duration;
- No Education Requirement.
