Chemical Operator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Chemical Operator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Mixes ingredients in proper sequence and proportions;
- Tends mixing equipment and maintains desired control over time, heat, pressure, color, or other variables;
- Fills drums and buckets as needed;
- Weighs and/or measures specific quantities of varying types of ingredients;
- Performs other duties as assigned;
- Maintains batch, time, weight, color, pressure, heat, production, and/or other records as required;
- May perform blending, filtration, and drying operations;
- Operates a forklift safely;
- Troubleshoots with supervisor to devise solutions to any unforeseen difficulties;
- Accurately weighing raw materials and active ingredients and combining them into a blend;
- Responsible for proper maintenance and operation of drug manufacturing equipment;
- Must be able to work alone or in a team and can follow procedures exactly.
Requirements:
- Must be trainable to safely operate production equipment and maintain records for work performed;
- Must be able to retain information and training;
- Safely carry out transfer of chemicals;
- H.S. Diploma or G.E.D; Proficient at routine mathematics, which includes addition, subtraction, multiplication and division;
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific related field or hold experience in a cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment;
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required;
- Basic Computer skills;
- Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills;
- Great attention to detail and commitment to excellence in review and work product;
- Experience with handling solvents;
- Flexibility to work overtime, extended shifts and/or other shifts on occasion Henkel is an equal opportunity employer;

- Forklift experience preferred, but not required. Will train;
- Must be able to lift 55 lbs;
- At least six months of related experience and/or training preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
