Our company is looking for a CNC Machinist II to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Proficient at operating two axis machine tools. Ideal operating five (5) axis machine tools;
  • Responsible for PCS execution accuracy and providing feedback to improve/enhance the PCS;
  • Setup and operate CNC Swiss screw and/or CNC mill machines in a production environment;
  • Make necessary offsets to maintain print/sketch tolerances and demonstrates a thorough understanding of tool pressure and wear;
  • Measures dimensions of finished part, using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators, or check fixture;
  • Able to set up, and operate, CNC machining centers to meet desired specifications;
  • Ability to write and edit programs as directed by engineering or supervision generally for program development purpose;
  • Ability to interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T);
  • Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) using precision measuring instruments and ensure parts conform to the blueprints;
  • Reads work order, blueprints, and specifications to determine machine setup, type of material or part, quantity, and finish dimensions;
  • A thorough understanding of the program language to identify possible errors and edit as required to improve finish requirements;
  • Read and interpret blueprints and manufacture parts within specifications;
  • Ability to manipulate machine controls, such as buttons, switches, dials, levers, and pedals, to regulate and adjust cutting speed and feeds;
  • Adjust tool offsets and change tools as needed to ensure parts conform to the blueprints.

Requirements:

  • Moderate physical effort- working frequently with average weights of ten to fifty pounds or continuously with lighter weights;
  • Ability to work in cold, hot and/or dusty environment, with noisy conditions;
  • Ability to lift, climb, bend, stoop, push and pull;
  • Must be able to become forklift certified;
  • Good eye/hand/foot coordination;
  • Must be able to lift fifty pounds independently;
  • Needs knowledge of various metals and of measurements used in machining processes;
  • Crane/Forklift – In-house training provided to obtain certification;
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, etc;
  • Experience with Star, Citizen, Deco, Makino, Hurco and/or Matsuura is a plus;
  • Possess basic machine shop math skills and ability to perform calculations;
  • Work flexible and extended hours as needed;
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment;
  • 5+ years of work experience related to CNC machining.
