Machine Builder Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Machine Builder to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Performing piece part inspection and assembly inspection;
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously;
- Support production and sustaining engineering activities as required;
- Participate in design reviews internally;
- Support the engineers with wiring checks, startup and testing;
- Build and wire electrical panels, with direction from engineers;
- Perform testing and evaluations on components, machines and equipment;
- Assist with installation of equipment and machines in production;
- Manage workshop area, maintaining good housekeeping, component/material stock levels, tools and equipment;
- Repair or replace damaged parts;
- Lubricate and maintain parts and components of machinery;
- Operate machinery to verify functionality based on customer specifications;
- Troubleshoot any mechanical issues and work with the engineering team to come up with a resolution;
- Reading mechanical blueprints to perform assembly duties;
- Wiring electrical components based on specifications.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of machine building including electrical and mechanical assembly;
- Familiar with PLCs & HMIs, Servo motors and robotics;
- Associate or Certificate (Mechanic, Electrician, Engineering);
- Experience of manual machining (Mill) and/or turning (Lathe);
- Experience of soldering;
- UL or NEC certifications;
- Familiarity with AutoCAD.
