Our company is looking for a Mechanical Assembler to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Basic cleaning of machine parts and first line maintenance;
  • Manual Production Processing/Duties;
  • Taking precision measurements to ensure flawless fit of components;
  • Follow work instructions associated with assembly skills to become certified for work being performed;
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed;
  • Reworks and repairs defective units rejected by inspection;
  • Keep all parts and equipment operational by providing preventative maintenance and reporting any repairs needed;
  • Build parts that meet drawing specifications;
  • Using general measuring devices and various tools for assembly;
  • Complete high tolerance fitting operations including balancing, leveling, aligning motors, bearings, shafts, impellers and pump cases;
  • Set up pump/motor systems along with valves and associated test controls;
  • Uses hand and small power tools to assembly product;
  • Accessing documents on the network (Training records and procedures);
  • Work with close tolerances and fits to meet engineering and operating requirements.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in production;
  • Experience with MS Office;
  • Certified forklift operator or willingness to get certified;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Performs basic selection and care of special machine tools such as drills, jigs, mills, lathes, and fixtures;
  • Full knowledge of machinist role and substantial acquaintance with and understanding of the machining of routine parts;
  • Minimum 1 year assembly experience;
  • Be able to lift and move up to 75 lbs. periodically during shift when necessary;
  • Good verbal, reading, writing, and comprehension skills;
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables where only limited standardization exists;
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs continuously;
  • Read, write, speak and understand English;
  • Must have the ability to complete tube bending and forming from schematic diagrams;
  • A background in electrical from the industrial equipment and/or instrumentation field is preferred;
  • 2-5 years manufacturing experience.
