Our company is looking for a Saw Operator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Record all testing and heat treat lot numbers on work order;
  • Pulls required materials from storage utilizing forklift and filling out material issue paperwork;
  • Follow shop safety standards;
  • Perform Rockwell testing of material to assure material meets engineering specifications;
  • Follow shop clean-up procedures;
  • Handle, move and deliver material using a forklift;
  • Operate equipment to clean, deburr and polish steel, cut parts, and other fabrication related duties;
  • Temp to hire opportunity;
  • Operate saw to cut metal to size;
  • 2nd shift 3pm-11:30pm (some overtime is required);
  • Preventative maintenance on equipment;
  • Primary function will be cutting orders on bandsaws;
  • Will train on 1st shift for 2 weeks, 6am-2:30pm;
  • Utilize ERP system to track parts and cost and SharePoint to track issues and workflow.

Requirements:

  • Perform proper set-up and calibration;
  • Prior experience in a Fabrication Shop a plus;
  • Ability to use and read measuring equipment (tapes, scales and calipers);
  • Applicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Report;
  • Must be able to read a tape measure down to the 1/16″;
  • Steel toe boots are required;
  • Must have reliable transportation;
  • Bandsaw experience;
  • Must be able to follow all safety guidelines;
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Be able to stand for entire shift;
  • Saw operation experience (oil & gas — Vertical Saw);
  • Applicant may be subject to a drug screen;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Must have excellent attendance record.
