Our company is looking for a Sorter to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Follow operating and health and safety procedures;
- Process and sort scrap metal;
- Perform beside a conveyor belt;
- Follow directions from superiors;
- Manual labor;
- Warrant a safe workstation;
- Packaging, sorting and labeling product and placing in bins according to organizational standards;
- Warehouse workers may also assist in counting of physical inventory;

- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping pallet area, and workstations neat; Sweep, dust and mop;
- Wear all PPE as required by jobsite;
- Clean and organize warehouse and work area;
- Assist with shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in product;

Requirements:
- Prescreen testing required;
- Hard hat;
- Wear safety equipment such as;
- Protective gloves;
- Use a assortment of hand tools;
- Safety glasses;
- Ability to twist, turn, stoop and bend;
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently;
- Operate in loud and grimy environments;
- Assist with machine & equipment repair when needed;
- Stand for long periods of time 8-12 hours;
- Ear plugs;
- Work self-sufficiently as well as within a group atmosphere;
- Regularly lift and/or move objects on a regular basis: weighing as much as 40 pounds;
