Our company is looking for a Sr. Controls Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of Controls architecture for large multiple module system and the engineering team;
  • Research and specify appropriate purchased and preferred components;
  • Troubleshoots RS-232 communications;
  • Guide Electricians in wiring and codes. Support software validation requirements;
  • Communicate ideas and comprehend information both verbally and in written form;
  • Domestic or International travel or extend work day if required;
  • Has a strong dedication to meeting and bearing schedule and budgets; conveys this urgency to others;
  • Work closely with Mechanical Engineering and Build and exhibit objectivity and openness to others views;
  • Work with suppliers to find/develop the most functional and economical solutions to design issues;
  • Ensure the electrical design is functional, robust, and cost effective;
  • Maintain International Standardization Organization ISO13485 standards;
  • Write PLC, HMI, PC and other control programs using various software;
  • Create owner’s manuals, test procedures, and other engineering deliverables as required;
  • Provide technical support to shop personnel during manufacturing;
  • Perform electrical computations for sizing electrical components.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering;
  • Works with the Systems Proposals Department to explain new solutions and technologies to the Proposals Team, Project Managers, and Customers;
  • Considered a Senior Engineer who will not be supervising but will be responsible for providing lead direction and mentoring engineers;
  • Process integration and electromechanical systems experience;
  • Bachelor’s Degree required;
  • Strong background in S.T.E.M. Advanced understanding of mathematics, statistics, and engineering required;
  • 3 years+ experience in designing custom machine vision applications preferred;
  • Problem-solving skills that lead to quick, sound resolution(s);
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications including PowerPoint and Excel;
  • Proven record of staying at the leading edge of technology to provide solutions that are leading edge and cost effective;
  • 1 plus years job-related experience within Controls Engineering or similar field of expertise;
  • Willing and able to work any shift in three shift environment;
  • Electrical engineering design experience; Solidworks Electrical is a plus;
  • 8 years+ experience in designing custom motion control, HMI, robotics, pick & place, and hardware for automated control systems;
  • Flexibility to work overtime, modified work schedule, and or overtime, as needed.
