Our company is looking for a Sr. Project Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling, contractor selection, supervision, schedule execution, and budget management of multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Ability to travel and manage projects at all locations as needed is required;
  • Develop Bill of Materials;
  • Review calculations, bill of materials, drawings, and other technical documents prepared by others;
  • Respond to shop and field questions Update in house programs as needed;
  • Review customer specifications to insure technical requirements are met;
  • Generate 3D models &, specifications and instructions necessary to convey project requirements to others;
  • Be involved in the development and revision of Engineering Standards;
  • Produce some mechanical and structural calculations in accordance with codes and standards;
  • Provide technical support for Sales during the inquiry process;
  • Conceives, plans and conducts geotechnical review/research in problem and challenging projects of considerable scope and complexity;
  • The extent of responsibility generally require overseeing and mentoring other engineers and Geotechnical staff;
  • Work with all departments/disciplines within the company to develop client relationships that lead to sustainable profitable revenue;
  • Responsible for assisting chief geotechnical engineer and practice leader in RFP preparations, project budgets and technical deliverables;
  • Provide Geotechnical and pavement expertise and advice to our clients.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional computer capabilities;
  • Verbal;
  • Experienced in project management and implementation. Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset but not essential;
  • Proficient in basic computer software such as Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook and Power Point;
  • Past experience in equipment factory acceptance testing would be ideal;
  • Work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and use of Root Cause Failure Analysis systems;
  • Prior project engineering/management experience is preferred;
  • Competency using MS office suite and MS Project (Excel, Word, Power Point);
  • Strong vendor management skills;
  • Strong “hands-on” mechanical/electrical/controls aptitude from previous industry experience;
  • Ability to use AutoCAD and Solidworks for equipment layouts and design is required;
  • US Citizen is required;
  • Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position;
  • Previous experience managing external engineering firms is required.
