Our company is looking for a Construction Project Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting and supporting project team with daily project coordination;
  • Procurement of construction materials;
  • Enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by Field Management;
  • Receives continual supervision and direction in the performance of assigned responsibility;
  • RFI’s;
  • Maintain project schedule;
  • Prepares and leads project close out process, including Owner training, O&Ms, as-builts, permits, etc;
  • Helps process subcontractor pay requests;
  • Manages and tracks punch list completion with the Superintendent;
  • Capable of providing an effective Quality Assurance / Quality Control role in his/her technical discipline;
  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Bids, performs scope analysis, creates, and issues subcontracts;
  • Prices, issues, and tracks change orders;
  • Assist in the management of project permit process;
  • Assist in preparation of bid packages and procurement.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of equipment and instruments;
  • Organized and detail oriented;
  • Oral/Written Communications;
  • ASHRAE certified a plus;
  • Responsible for tracking incoming and outgoing submittals;
  • Degree in Construction Management or STEM and/or 2 years electrical construction industry experience preferred;
  • Obtaining permits and scheduling inspections as requested;
  • Self-starter capable of working independently and as a member of a group;
  • Must have experience in contract management, budget & cost control, and positive client relationships;
  • Must have good computer skills; experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; Primavera P6; Procore; and Timberline desired;
  • Establish and maintains all project management files, document control;
  • Experience on U.S. Federal or large commercial / industrial client projects is desired, but not required;
  • Experience using MS Project/Primavera, Procore, SharePoint, MS Office and PowerPoint;
  • Entry-level to 3 years of industry experience;
  • Experience on design – build projects is a plus.
