Our company is looking for a Systems Test Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical support and advice to other engineering groups;
  • Understanding and experience in the complete life-cycle of the software in military systems;
  • Experience testing in a Java development environment;
  • Investigate and resolve operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel;
  • Defines, documents, analyzes, performs, and interprets developmental tests for new and/or modified products or product components;
  • Devises and applies testing procedures for parts or sub-assemblies received from outside vendors;
  • Provide mission control room support and makes real-time decisions regarding safety, efficiency, and effectiveness;
  • Develop and publish test plans, test schedules and test procedures for developmental testing;
  • Contribute to test card development and review in collaboration with other engineering disciplines and test operations;
  • Provide laboratory support for integration testing;
  • Maintain metrics on status of testing and constraints;
  • Create and coordinate approval of test cards;
  • Interface with test article design and analysis teams to define test configuration and data requirements;
  • Identify and coordinate the availability of test facilities and test ranges with cognizant company, subcontractor, and government agencies;
  • Develop and publish detailed test plans, test schedules, and test procedures for developmental testing.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree is desirable;
  • US Government Secret or higher level security clearance as required;
  • Develop Test Planning Detail Sheets;
  • Support Test Execution as First Line Troubleshooter;
  • Support Systems engineering to develop Verification Cross Reference Matrices;
  • Support Test Equipment Checkout and System Integration;
  • Develop Test Plans and Detailed Procedures;
  • Technical writing/presentation skills;
  • Perform as the hardware responsible engineer for the subsystem under test;
  • Familiarity with Zumwalt Ship networks and equipment;
  • Prior experience working with Military and Commercial Marine control systems;
  • Perform requirements analysis and decomposition including developing derived requirements as needed to test the system;
  • Write Test Reports;
  • Develop test equipment and simulation requirements;
  • Perform technical interactions with the system test team to ensure system requirements are being verified.
