Our company is looking for a Equity Research Associate to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Compile and analyze macroeconomic and industry data;
  • Build and update financial models for each company;
  • Attend industry events to gain an in depth understanding of the sector;
  • Interact and share conviction with our internal sales force;
  • Participate in other projects as requested by management;
  • Answer inquiries from customers, personnel of the firm and the general public regarding individual securities or industry groups;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry sources;
  • Assist in the production of written reports to be distributed to our institutional money manager clients;
  • Gather and analyze proprietary market research;
  • Conduct research, build and/or update financial models and other statistical data for use in the formulation of security analysis;
  • Becoming an expert on your sector and covered companies.

Requirements:

  • Outstanding time management with excellent communication and writing skills;
  • Practical and capable of simplifying and summarizing complex information;
  • Strong conceptual and critical thinking skills;
  • Delivers clear, effective verbal and written communication and takes responsibility for understanding others;
  • Proficient in Internet searches and Microsoft Office products;
  • Well-developed analytical skills with the ability to master complex tasks and multi-task with minimal supervision;
  • Strong accounting and financial statement analysis skills;
  • A graduate or an undergraduate business degree;
  • Minimum of two-three years related work experience;
  • Commitment to satisfying internal and external customers;
  • Capable of building computer generated financial models;
  • Bachelor’s degree required with concentration in Finance or Accounting preferred;
  • CFA, CPA, or technical designation preferred;
  • Series 7, 63, 86, and 87 must be obtained within first 90 days;
  • Strong work ethic and interest in learning the equity research industry.
