Our company is looking for a Leasing Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge and use of lead tracking system. Make follow-up calls to prospective Residents who did not fill out an application;
  • Walk new resident through lease document at time of signing;
  • Process all applications in accordance with company policy and procedures, and notify prospect of results;
  • Update availability list daily in Yardi and communicate which units are rented;
  • Orders Leasing supplies;
  • Responsible for the successful and consistent marketing and leasing of the property;
  • Views apartments and prepare move-in inventory 24 hours prior to the scheduled move-in;
  • Prepare service requests;
  • Prepare move-in / move-out notices, inspections or procedures;
  • Prepare and submit application materials for approval;
  • Follow up with prospects after viewing homes or submitting applications;
  • Schedule move-in’s onto calendar, following up on prospects;
  • Ensure apartments are move-in ready by inspecting, and adding last minute touches when appropriate;
  • Respond timely to all calls, emails and site visits;
  • Manage lease renewal process.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents & ability to write reports;
  • Flexibility of work schedule. Position requires 2-3 weekends per month with time off during the week;
  • Computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Social Media sites including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc;
  • Strong sales skills;
  • Superior verbal, written and presentation skills;
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and regulations;
  • Detail oriented; Highly organized; Team player;
  • Willingness and ability to learn additional software packages as they relate to the business;
  • Ability to work with little direction, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism;
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public;
  • Ability to understand, follow and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form;
  • Must have the basic proficiency of reading and writing of the English language;
  • Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager Property Management software (preferred);
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Two years of experience in property management leasing.
