Our company is looking for a Outside Sales Rep to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with marketing to provide competitive information in support of new products, messaging, campaigns, and offerings;
  • Attend trade shows, conventions, and events pertinent to your designated markets;
  • Identify new customers by phone, e-mail, campus visits, etc;
  • Prepare weekly sales activity reports showing sales calls, sales volume, potential sales, closed deals & closing percentage;
  • Manage full life-cycle of sale from start to close;
  • Maintain current clients while continuing to up-sell on new and future products;
  • Grow new customers by closing deals;
  • Provide outstanding customer service to retain customers;
  • Follow-up with emails and drop-ins to close sales;
  • Serve as a positive “face” of your media property;
  • Promote your property to business leaders and readers as appropriate;
  • Valid drivers’ license with clean driving record;
  • Selling waste removal, disposal and recycling services.

Requirements:

  • Must have PC knowledge (i.e. Microsoft Office);
  • Previous Sales experience;
  • Previous customer service experience;
  • Must have a valid driver’s license;
  • Ability to remain organized while handling multiple projects/tasks;
  • Experience in a position that deals directly with customers (front-line);
  • Partnership with Greek Life preferred;
  • 3+ years outside sales experience;
  • Ability to travel 80% of the time and sit in the Hamilton, NY office the other 20% of time;
  • Proven ability to meet goals and budgets required;
  • Technical skills including experience with all Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required;
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with a wide variety of people, both written and verbal, required;
  • Excellent phone skills necessary;
  • 1-3 years of sales experience;
  • 3+ years outside business to business sales.
